Wood Procurement
MCL Forest Products, L.L.C. and New River Bend, L.L.C. are two (wholly /partially owned by principals of CWP) subsidiaries of Cumberland Wood Products, Inc. that procure land, timber, and oil/gas properties. The procurement of timber properties enables Cumberland Wood Products, Inc. to maintain a higher degree of control on the price and supply of logs to the sawmill. In addition, Cumberland Wood Products, Inc. utilizes natural gas from two owned gas/ oil wells located close to the facility in Helenwood, Tennessee for process fuel and heating of the facility. The wells further enable the company to control and minimize related direct and overhead costs.

Quality is achieved through CWP’s utilization of Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Machining (CAM). CWP utilizes CAD/CAM to produce close tolerance, custom manufacturing of every part. In conjunction with CAD/CAM, CWP offers an expanded product line which includes specialty packaging and crating, construction mats, assembled and kit components for novelty items (i.e., jewelry boxes, box shelves, mirror frames, folding screens, etc.) and furniture parts.
